Many of us grew up in a simpler time when Sunday dinner was a thing. We never articulated it, but everyone just knew that the end of the weekend meant we had a long-standing date with family and friends. We weren’t getting together for anyone’s birthday or anniversary; it was for no other reason than it being Sunday: a time to be together, catch up, and exchange lively conversation and fellowship in a communal environment.
These days, we all have busy schedules — errands to run, work to do, kids to shuttle around. For a few hours on a Sunday afternoon, we take a break from it all to gather around the table to enjoy farm-fresh food, great wine, and each other.
