In 2021, we initiated a partnership with the Cardinal Hayes Home for children with developmental disabilities and created an edible garden on their main campus known as “The Giving Garden.” In 2022, we improved the garden by adding deer fencing and raised beds that are easily accessible by wheelchair.
Throughout the growing season, the garden is overflowing with organic vegetables and flowers. Not only is everyone enjoying the fresh bounty, but it’s a great learning opportunity and social event for the residents.
