Once a year, on a Saturday morning at the beginning of May, we hold our Annual Starter Plant Sale. From 9am to 1pm, we open the Farm to the public so that customers can purchase vegetable, herb, and flower starter plants for their backyard gardens. All of our plants are grown in our greenhouse and are certified organic by the USDA and the Real Organic Project, assuring our customers that they are of the highest quality, non-GMO, and free from harmful chemicals. We choose the plant varieties for flavor, yield, and disease resistance, taking the guesswork out of the selection.

And while they’re here on the Farm, our customers enjoy touring the Market Garden, getting planting and growing advice from Farm Managers Sam and Jeremy, and catching up with friends and neighbors with a complimentary cup of coffee. 

These Plant Sales are always fun, they’re a great way to celebrate our community, and, perhaps most importantly, all of the proceeds support our outreach programs. If the early May weather is not-so-spring-like, we move the sale into the Cookhouse so they’re held rain or shine. We accept cash, credit cards and checks. They’re very popular and supplies are limited, so we always advise customers to arrive promptly for the best selection.

The main entrance to Stonewood Farm is at 110 Bangall Road in Millbrook. The number “110” is on the mailbox and the entrance gate. There’s also a small “Stonewood” sign on the gate post. Follow the driveway until you see signage for parking; then follow the signs.
