Sunday Harvest Dinner with Chef Adrian Lipscombe | Sunday, August 24th, 3pm - 7pm
To join the waitlist for any of our Sunday Dinners, please email us at chef@stonewoodny.org with your name, phone number, the dinner you are interested in, and desired number of seats.
Chef Adrian Lipscombe brings soul, depth, and purpose to every dish she creates. A proud native Texan with deep roots in Central Texas, Adrian’s journey to the kitchen took a thoughtful, winding path through architecture, city planning and, ultimately, community-centered food systems. In 2016, she opened Uptowne Café in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where she blended her Southern upbringing, Midwest ingredients, and African American culinary heritage into something all her own.
In 2020, Adrian founded the 40 Acres Project to preserve and uplift the legacy of Black foodways and agricultural legacies by acquiring Black-owned land. Now back in Austin, she is a founding member of OneKitchen, a startup that equips chefs with the skills and resources to address critical food-related issues in their communities. A fourth generation pitmaster and PhD candidate in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Texas at Austin, Adrian is always thinking about how food shapes place and identity. As a mother of four, she takes pride in creating stepping stones and a legacy for the future.
Additionally, she plays a pivotal role as a founding member of the Muloma Heritage Center in South Carolina, a non-profit organization dedicated to exploring the African Atlantic influences in American culture and their contributions to American cuisines. Adrian also serves on the board of the Edna Lewis Foundation, further highlighting her commitment to preserving culinary heritage.
We are thrilled to welcome Chef Lipscombe to Stonewood Farm during one of our most bountiful months. Her food is sure to be as thoughtful and inspiring as the vision behind it.
To make a donation and reserve a place at the August 24th dinner, please select the number of seats you’d like and then click the DONATE button. We ask that you read and accept the “fine print” at checkout.
We will attempt to accommodate special dietary requests related to the four common allergens - gluten/wheat, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts - provided that you share your allergies with us when you reserve your seats. Vegan diets can not be accommodated at this meal.
