Saturday Supper with Chef Kristen and Laurel & Ash Farm | April 12, 12:00pm - 2:30pm
For our April supper, we’re pleased to welcome co-hosts Ashley Ruprecht and Jeffrey Schad, the husband and wife team behind Laurel & Ash Farm. Laurel & Ash is a 50-acre, family farm and forest in Holmes, New York that produces small, limited batches of 100% pure, wood-fired, Grade A maple syrup. Their maple syrup is sourced from the indigenous maple trees on their property, and every drop of sap is harvested using sustainable practices, honoring their commitment to be responsible stewards of the land. Tapped, wood-fired, and bottled entirely on the Farm, Laurel & Ash Farm maple syrup is a celebration of the land, the season, and the craft.
Our April dinner will honor the bounty of Ashley and Jeffrey’s 2025 harvest. Not only will we be using their maple syrup in the meal, but we’ll also be incorporating their maple vinegar and their newly released, heirloom grain pancake mix; the pancake mix is a combination of organic, New York- grown einkorn and red wheat grains, 100% stone-ground by local craft mills and sweetened with maple sugar pearls. Chef Kristen will highlight these products in a delicious feast that demonstrates fun ways to incorporate maple into a savory meal.
As with all our Saturday Suppers, the gathering will embrace a laid-back, cozy, communal atmosphere where neighbors come together during the colder, darker months to enjoy great food and a deeper community connection. The meal will be served family-style, encouraging conversation. It's an opportunity to make new friends and strengthen existing bonds. And like our Sunday Harvest Dinner series, all proceeds from the Saturday Suppers directly support our outreach.
