Sunday Harvest Dinner with Andrea Gentl
August 21st, 3pm - 7pm
Andrea is a world-renowned photographer and one half of the travel, still life and food photography duo of Gentl and Hyers. Her interest in cooking and food stems from her background, growing up on a small family farm in western Massachusetts where living off of the land was omnipresent. Her passion for cooking has grown over the years from her extensive work as a photographer. She has traveled all over the world and has seen food culture from many different points of view.
Andrea has collaborated with many of the world’s best chefs and cookbook authors including, Julia Child, Mads Refslund , Fredrick Bersilius, Liz Pruitt of Tartine, Jody Williams and Rita Sodi of Via Carota, Donna Leonard of Il Buco and many others. Her interest in mushrooms is an extension of her love of nature and of being in the woods. Her cookbook, Cooking With Mushrooms, will be published by Artisan Books in October 2022. The book has over 75 versatile and inventive recipes using cultivated and wild mushrooms.
Our dinner with Andrea will feature local mushrooms paired with the incredible bounty of our late August Market Garden. Not only will we have the opportunity to enjoy her gorgeous food, but Andrea will also talk about the availability of cultivated mushrooms and their unique, versatile flavors and adaptogenic qualities.
To donate for the August 21st dinner, please select the number of tickets you’d like and then click the DONATE button. We ask that you read and accept the “fine print” at checkout.
We will attempt to accommodate special dietary requests related to the eight common allergens - gluten/wheat, milk/dairy, egg, soy, peanut, tree nuts, fish and shellfish - provided that you email us at chef@stonewoodny.com at least two weeks in advance of the event. Please include your phone number in the email so that we may call you to discuss the options we can offer.
