Saturday Supper with Chef Kristen and Daniel Kanda | May 30, 6:30pm - 9:00pm

$225.00
1 available

Daniel Kanda is the co-owner of Flowering Sun Ecology Center, a farm and education center in the Catskills region of New York devoted to growing nutrient-dense food and restoring the land. Daniel’s path was inspired by a love of nature and fungi, leading him to follow what he calls the “mycelial golden thread.” He works closely with his team to cultivate mushrooms, grow heirloom seeds, care for soil, and foster biodiversity across the farm. At Flowering Sun, Daniel creates space for the land, the plants, and the community to thrive together. He believes that farming is both a craft and a responsibility, and that food can heal, educate, and connect people to the earth. Every project, crop, and workshop is guided by intention and care, ensuring that the farm nurtures both people and the planet for generations to come.

As with all our Saturday Suppers, the gathering will embrace a laid-back, cozy, communal atmosphere where neighbors come together to enjoy great food and a deeper community connection. It's an opportunity to make new friends and strengthen existing bonds. And like our Sunday Harvest Dinner series, all proceeds from the Saturday Suppers directly support our outreach programs.

To make a donation and reserve a place at the May 30th supper, please select the number of seats you’d like and then click the DONATE button. We ask that you read and accept the “fine print” at checkout.

Before donating, please note that this meal will contain meat, dairy, eggs, and gluten in our main course. Dietary restrictions and allergies cannot be accommodated.
