To build on the excitement of our annual Plant Sale, we are delighted to introduce a Plant Preview Party the evening before the sale. This intimate gathering offers a limited number of supporters the opportunity to join us on the Farm for a special early look at the seedlings and the growing season ahead, while helping raise funds for the farm’s newest programming.
Held from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm, the evening welcomes guests back to the farm after the long winter months. It is a chance to reconnect with fellow supporters, meet our farmers, and spend time with our Founders in a relaxed and celebratory setting.
Guests will enjoy the first opportunity to preview the plants that will be available at the following day’s sale, learn more about what we are growing this season, and gather in conversation around the seedling-laden tables in the Cookhouse.
The evening will include canapés prepared by Chef Kristen, along with wines generously provided by Millbrook’s Village Wine & Spirits. Each guest will leave with a small selection of seedlings and a takeaway breakfast treat to fuel the next morning’s plant sale.
Attendance is reserved through a suggested minimum donation of $70 per person, with participation limited to 40 guests in order to preserve the intimate atmosphere and allow for meaningful interaction with Farm staff and fellow supporters.
Proceeds from the Preview Party will support Stonewood Farm’s inaugural Chef in Residency program, launching this June. Guests attending the Preview Party will receive priority access to special programming with our resident chefs, including the Chef’s Farm Tour Luncheon and upcoming cooking workshops. In this way, the Preview Party not only celebrates the start of the growing season but also introduces an exciting new dimension of the Farm’s culinary programming.
