Mother's Day Cupcakes
Motherhood comes in many different forms: mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, aunties, sisters, teachers, coaches, mentors, and counselors, among others. There’s no better way to celebrate them than to treat them to a box of cupcakes. Chef Kristen will be sharing her lemon poppy seed cupcakes, filled with Stonewood Farm berry preserve and topped with cream cheese frosting and finished with Farm flowers. Each box holds four cupcakes; that’s four opportunities for mom to treat herself or to share.
And that’s not even the sweetest part. We’re also working with our friends at Cardinal Hayes Home for Children to create one-of-a-kind cupcake box masterpieces! While the Cardinal Hayes residents have differing levels of abilities, they are able to channel their creativity with the use of markers, paints, stickers and more! We think these custom-designed boxes will make Kristen’s cupcakes taste even better, if that’s possible!
Additionally, we’ve found a way to include our local Meals on Wheels meal recipients in the celebration. For each cupcake box sold, we’ll include a custom Cardinal Hayes craft and a Stonewood Farm baked treat with the Meals on Wheels delivery.
There are four cupcakes in a box and each box is $25. Cupcakes contain gluten, eggs and dairy and we can not accommodate any special requests for dietary restrictions and/or allergies. Mother’s Day cupcakes will be available for pick-up on Friday, May 9th, from 3 pm to 5 pm at Marona’s Market in the Village of Millbrook. Please note that you won’t be able to purchase the cupcakes at Marona’s and these are the only hours that they can be picked up.
All proceeds support The Giving Garden, the edible garden we created at the Millbrook campus of Cardinal Hayes Home.
