Easter Bunny Bags | In Partnership with Cardinal Hayes Home for Children
Easter is right around the corner and we have a delicious treat for you! Chef Kristen will be in the Cookhouse kitchen whipping up some delicious Easter “bunny bags” for your holiday table. Each bunny bag will contain a loaf of Stonewood carrot and apple bread (gluten free and dairy free), four frosted Easter gingerbread cookies, and two coconut-black sesame-chocolate cake truffles.
Of course, the best part of sharing these treats with you is that we’ll be partnering again with our friends at Cardinal Hayes Home. The Cardinal Hayes residents have differing levels of abilities, but nothing inhibits these inspiring young people. With some markers, paints, glue, ribbons, stickers, and stamps (made from extra wheelchair pieces!), we’ll create unique, hand-made designs for the bags. (The picture you see here is a sample made by Chef Kristen, so don’t judge her creative attempt too harshly!)
Easter bunny bags will be available for pick-up on Thursday, March 28th, from 3 pm to 5 pm at Marona’s Market in the Village of Millbrook. Please note that you won’t be able to purchase the bags at Marona’s and these are the only hours that they can be picked up.
All proceeds support the Giving Garden, the edible garden we created at the Millbrook campus of Cardinal Hayes Home, and our other community outreach programs.
