To join the waitlist for any of our Sunday Harvest Dinners, please email us at chef@stonewoodny.org with your name, phone number, the dinner you are interested in, and desired number of seats.
Edy Massih is a private chef, caterer, and owner of the Lebanese pantry and catering company, Edy’s Grocer, in Brooklyn, New York. Born in a fishing village in northern Lebanon, his mission is to spread his joy and passion for Lebanese culture and food and to create community around it. In his Greenpoint kitchen, Edy is inspired by the lively flavors and colors from his childhood in the Middle East. The food he offers can best be described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern classics with a modern twist that blends the cuisine of his homeland with American culture and fresh, locally sourced products.
Moving to the United States with his family when he was 10, Edy’s family settled in Massachusetts. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 2015 and, after working in New York City for several years, saw a gap in the availability of Middle Eastern foods and ingredients and opened Edy’s Grocer in August 2020.
Since the Grocer opened, Edy has been featured on CBS, The Today Show, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and was recently named Forbes “30 under 30” for Food & Drink in 2022. In addition to managing Edy’s Grocer and his catering business, he is in the midst of writing his first cookbook, a lifelong dream that will be released in the Spring of 2024.
Edy recently acquired property here in the Hudson Valley and hopes to expand his business and connections to our local community by launching a dinner series in collaboration with as many small business owners and farms as possible. In line with these plans, he’s bringing his experiences, his palate, and his passion to our Cookhouse to celebrate the bounty of Stonewood’s harvest. We couldn’t be more excited!
To make a donation and reserve a place at the September 17th dinner, please select the number of seats you’d like and then click the DONATE button. We ask that you read and accept the “fine print” at checkout.
We will attempt to accommodate special dietary requests related to the eight common allergens - gluten/wheat, milk/dairy, egg, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, finfish and shellfish - provided that you email us at chef@stonewoodny.org at least two weeks in advance of the event. Please include your phone number in the email so that we may call you to discuss the options we can offer.
