Delicious Vegetables Dishes with Chef Daniel
Wednesday, July 13th, 10am - 2pm
Whether it's just a busy Tuesday night or you don’t know what to do with your abundant farm co-op share, preparing delicious, substantial vegetable-based dishes is a struggle to which we can all relate. All too often, vegetarian dishes are filled with rice or pasta, with some bland, soggy veggies playing a supporting role. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the kitchen secrets to elevate your local bounty to the next level and make vegetables the star of your dinner table.
After touring our Market Garden and harvesting your own fresh produce with Farmer Ellie’s assistance, Chef Daniel will show you how to create globally inspired dishes that highlight some of your favorite vegetables and, perhaps, some you've never used before. You’ll finish the morning with a vegetarian feast prepared by you and your classmates in the beautiful, light-filled dining room of our Cookhouse, paired, of course, with the perfect glass of wine. And you’ll take with you the recipes you made so you can experiment at home.
